(DS)Coop-mode missing quests and content - final release

This is the full version of the modification, including changes done in my unofficial patch, but due to possible mistakes and bugs further releases can be done.

Module is dedicated to start with low-level character so to find everything I did you need to create avatar in Spellforce 2 coop-mode and import it to Dragon Storm coop-mode.

Module consists of mapquests left by developers and some extra stuff added by myself to make game more interesting.
I tried to re-create original quests as they were planned as much as it was possible. Any changes were done only if I had to.

1.1 Westguard

- reenabled crafting/forging items

- Kor and NightSong will appear near Halikos to join your group. Just come close to transfer them into party. To take Kor you need to finish "Honor Marks" quest, Song will appear after DraghLur map.

- On some circumstances you will obtain rewards if having special reward from other maps.

- New heroes are available to join you (from main campaign)

- Now you can recruit any group members in any sequence - use levers instead of dialogs. If you choose with lever - dialogs will be disabled and if you use dialogs (shaikan group is joined by coming close to them) - levers will be disabled respectively. Remember also that most of the candidates are equipped - if taken at too low level, they will loose their equipment.

- "Honor Marks" quest - you need to obtain 5 of them, and to take additional content you need to play all four maps (Rushwater Downs, Gate of Swords, Iron Fields and Norimar).

- "Free Merchant" quest - you need to escort 25 of them - for easy counting they will give you lenya flowers which disappear after finishing quest.

- "Kitaki Spies" - you need to take 24 documents

- "Find Good Niethalf's Priests" - you have to find 10 good priests

- "Destroy Crystals" quest - you need to "kill" all 4 crystals to finish quest (for each you will get a part of it, they disappear after finishing quest)

1.2 Rushwater Downs - re-created "Master Certhis" mapquest. It starts after destroing enemy bases. Special reward for avatar lower than 5th level.

1.3 Gate of Swords - re-created "Morca's Ore" mapquest. You find orc shaman near Kor appear, go to him/her to initialize quest. Special reward for avatar lower than 5th level.

1.4 Iron Fields - re-created "Elf's Gifts" mapquest. It starts with visible timer. If you believed this map is hard - check it now. Special reward for avatar lower than 6th level.

1.5 Norimar - nothing, just special reward for avatar lower than 6th level.

1.6 Dragh Lur - free Prophet and you will see...

1.7 Shal - re-created "Brother of Blood" mapquest. Special reward for avatar lower than 14th level.

1.8 SongGlass - re-created "Crystals" mapquest. Special reward for avatar lower than 14th level.

1.9 Gillyshire - re-created "Stop Them" mapquest. Map was extreme easy so I "colored" it a little. Special reward for avatar lower than 14th level. Additionally you will see finally Demeter to fill her bags in "Sources for WestGuard" sidequest.

1.10 Ice Fangs - nothing, just cosmetics to "Free Merchant" mainquest and shrine that sometimes won't speak. Probably you need to speak to Halicos first to get shrine to speak. I have no idea but it sometimes happens.

1.11 Tuscari Wastelands - cosmetics

1.12 Uram Gor - map is just playable due to developers mistake

1.13 Howler Pass, Summers End - Demeter is visible for "Sources for WestGuard" sidequest.

1.14 FireForge - main gates are open constantly after finishing "Rescue Aya" mainquest.
"Knowledge about Beasts" mapquest is restored.

1.15 Underhall, Ironheart Foothills, Windtalker Gash, Summers End - priests are available in "Niethalf's Priests" mainquest.

1.16 Underhall - "Luck" mapquest restored.

1.17 IroHeart FootHills - "Brave Merchant" mapquest restored.

1.18 Golden Fields - restored all voices and some extra persons, and mapquest "Last Men of Sevenkeeps"

1.19 Steel Shore, Dun Mora - restored mapquest "Doesn't Look Like Before""

1.20 Crystal Wastes - restored mapquest "Crystal's Power"

1.21 Sunken City - restored mapquest "Guardian of the Temple"

1.22 Crystal Forest - restored mapquest "Hunting Raptors"

1.23 Crater - depending on how many Incarnations you have killed you meet correct version of the Prophet

Changes in version 3.1 concern generally maps of Sunken City (a broken quest) and higher (incarnation appearance). If you reached them before you should occasionally replay them to see them right.

Version 3.3 (probably there will be no more I hope...)
Removed some weird troubles with "AvatarFlag" marking when playing different team than Player1 (each map uses random player from 1 to 3):
- Niethalf's good priests should appear correctly,
- Counting resources with Demeter is now additionaly marked with "dwarven brandy" to avoid script's indolescence in Gyllyshire map,
- Incarnations appear and disappear correctly finally,
- some additional stuff and rewards for those who like digging deep the maps (there are right now a lot of them, but never enough...).

Angry Cannot make companions join ...

@ Aurelinus:
Whatever I tried so far, I ALWAYS got stuck with the "Gain respect" quest.
cannot make more than two heroes join if I am using the levers..
E.g.: I let Lya join, then Wind.
No matter how much XP I gain, the "Gain respect" quest is always active. It does not seem to matter, whether I start with an avatar lvl 1 or 15 or whether I bring an avatar lvl 30 to the Westguard.
However: I can let the groups join using the dialogues..
I am using the version 3.3 files....
Can you help?

Ok. I cannot confirm there is anything wrong, just for quick I created new avatar with DS and succesfully joined Lya, Wind, Shae, Yasha and Bowgirl to finish the quest normally.

To get and finish "Honor Marks" get 2 marks from 1st map, and 3 additional from another 3 maps one by one (or with replies if you need).

Both quests are not connected, the only limit is that you can recruit anyone at some level if you start with low-level avatar taken from Shadow Wars (what is suggested).

Remember to start a new game with a new avatar or (only if it is not a new one) if imported from Shadow Wars better remove companions while importing process ask for it. Don't play any map at Shadow Wars stage, just import avatar right after creating it.

At last try to reinstall game and reinstall addon then import files from the pack.

Well, I had a few mods. But then I saw that two files (coopheroquests.lua and questrewards.lua) in the base directory were missing.

So, just a false alert.
If you add any other modules always check if all files are at the place at first. And ask for compatibility between them.

Man, something is wrogn with my game
I installed your "renew" patch correctly but if simply dont change anything!
Everything is the same as if i dont installed your "patch"...
I dont get any new quests or repaired quests, no new companions (as you say in forum and readme), only the same old companions...
I started a new avatar as you say in forum and i reached lvl 7 and no change in ANYTHING was made!
So, i ask myself: Do you need the lastest patch of the addon DS or it works on every game's version? (My DS version is 2.00, with the "base.exe" fix that i took out from this forum)
I installed the game again and nothing...
So the problem is absolutly in the game's version...

Problem with game or Aurelinus patch?

Well, after reading more carefully this thread i saw this that i've done wrogn:

Yes, i started the avatar and played in Shadow Wars free-game...
But after i saw this, i've tried to do what he said: Import the avatar to DS after creating it in SW...
BUT there is a huge problem by doing that!
In my game (at least) when you creat a avatar in SW free-game, enter the 1º map to save the avatar, then going to DS free-game and import, a very big problem occurs: After importing the avatar to DS free-game, you can't start ANY map (not even westguard) and when you go back to SW free-game to see what happened, ALL the avatars created in SW free-game were deleted!! (any level avatar is deleted, all avatars...)

So, how do someone do to make the import of the avatar without occuring that problem? please help me...

Just to remind you: don't use winZIP to unpack files as it meshes directions for folders. use Windows Commander or just explorer (copy/paste files into main catalogue of the game).

There is little mess about hero who join the team, most of them have there skill point already spent, and that very annoying.
So it's very nice to give choice of every follower but i m stuck with the adventurer due to this

Badest joke is at level 1 i pic a dragon team member i was thinking at this age i should be safe about how i ll spend her skill point... But even with autoskill distribution unchecked, she still spend her point alone without let me choice :'(

It's possible to kick one follower from the team ? with how she spend her skill i no want her anymore, and i no want restart again

Beside that it's a great job.

I believe you're inquiring about the teammates that gradually join your party? If you do then you'll realise that there are two groups in Westguard. One has every skill point already allocated when joining you, the other has none so you can distribute all of them. You can only have members of one group in your party, so if you start choosing members of the first group, you can't then choose members of the second. It's kind of like "newbie vs advanced".
